AUSTRALIA GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIPS
AUSTRALIAN DEVELOPMENT SCHOLARSHIPS
Australian Development Scholarships (ADS) are a bilateral program within the Australian scholarships program. Australian Development Scholarships equip scholars with the skills and Knowledge to drive change and influence the development outcomes of their own country through obtaining tertiary qualification at participating Australian higher education institutions and technical colleges.
ENDEAVOUR AWARDS
The Endeavour Awards is the Australian Government’s internationally competitive, merit-based scholarship program providing opportunities for citizens of the Asia-Pacific, Middle-East, Europe and the Americas to undertake study, research and professional development in Australia.
ENDEAVOUR POSTGRADUATE RESEARCH SCHOLARSHIPS
The IPRS program enables international students to undertake a postgraduate research qualification in Australia and gain experience with leading Australian researcher. The scholarships are available for a period of two years for a Masters by research degree or three years for a Doctorate by research degree. The Endeavour Postgraduate Awards provide full financial support for international students to undertake a postgraduate qualification at a Masters level either by coursework or research in any field of study in Australia. For Masters, the Total Award Value is up to $AUD 118,500 which includes travel allowance, establishment allowance, monthly stipend, tuition fees, and health insurance.
ENDEAVOUR POSTGRADUATE AWARDS
The Endeavour Postgraduate Awards provide financial support international students for up to 3 years to undertake a postgraduate qualification at a Masters or PhD level either by coursework or research in any field of study in Australia.
ENDEAVOUR EXECUTIVE AWARDS
The Endeavour Executive Awards provide professional development opportunities for high achievers in business, industry education or government from participating countries. The Awards focus on building skills and knowledge through a host work environment rather than through formal enrolment in a study program at a host institution and are not intended to fund direct academic research.
ENDEAVOUR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS
The Endeavour Research Fellowships provide financial support for postgraduate students and post doctoral fellows from participating countries to undertake short-term research (4-6 months , in any field of study, in Australia.
ENDEAVOUR AUSTRALIA CHEUNG KONG RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS
The Endeavour Australia Cheung Kong Research Fellowships provide financial support for up to 2.5 years for international students from participating countries to undertake vocational education at a Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree in any field of study in Australia.
AUSAID
This is an Australian Government initiative designed to promote knowledge, education links and enduring ties between Australia and its neighbours.
ROTARY SCHOLARSHIP
Rotary International offers a number of scholarships worldwide for periods of 3 months, 6 months, 1 year and 2 years. Eligibility: Applicants must have completed at least two years of university or college course work, or must have a secondary school education and have been employed in a recognized vocation for at least two years when the scholarship begins. All applicants must be citizens of a country in which there is a Rotary club. Applicants must initially apply through a Rotary club located in the area of their legal or permanent residence, or place of fulltime study or employment. Persons with disabilities and members of Rotaract clubs are eligible and encouraged to apply.
INTERNATIONAL POSTGRADUATE RESEARCH SCHOLARSHIPS (IPRS)
IPRS enables international students to undertake a postgraduate research qualification in Australia and gain experience with leading Australian researchers. A total of 330 IPRS places are awarded each year at a cost of around $20m per annum. Eligibility: Scholarships are open to international students of all countries (except New Zealand) and are available for a period of two years for a Research Masters degree or three years for a Research Doctorate degree. The scholarship covers tuition fees and health cover costs for scholarship holders, and health cover costs for their dependants. From 2011, commencing IPRS recipients will be able to apply for an Australian Postgraduate Award.
VICTORIA-INDIA DOCTORAL SCHOLARSHIPS PROGRAMME
In the VIDS programme, ten scholars from India will be awarded 90,000 Australian dollars (about $94,400) each to pursue their Ph.Ds from varsities in Australia's Victoria state starting 2012. This scholarship has been set up by the state government of Victoria and the Australia India Institute. 9 universities: Deakin University, La Trobe University, Monash University, RMIT University, Swinburne University, Australian Catholic University, The University of Melbourne, University of Ballarat and Victoria University have agreed to provide a full tuition waiver to Indian students and the scholarships will support living costs and education-related travel. These are just the main and the most popular scholarships in Australia. Almost all the good universities and colleges in Australia provide scholarship programmes. AUSTRALIA LEADERSHIPS AWARDS ALA SCHOLARSHIPS
ALA Scholarships are offered to high achievers from the Asia-Pacific region to undertake postgraduate study (Masters or Doctorate ) at an Australian university. Study programs must relate to AusAID’s priority areas of disability, economic growth, education, environment, food security, gender, governance, health, human rights, infrastructure, regional stability, rural development and water & sanitation. ALA FELLOWSHIPS ALA Fellowships are for short-term study, research and professional attachment programs in Australia delivered by Australian organizations. ALA Fellowships are available across a broad range of fields relevant to Australia’s foreign policy agenda or development outcomes.
REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT SCHOLARSHIPS
Australian Regional Development Scholarships provide opportunities to people from some developing countries in the Pacific to study at selected education institutions outside Australia.

AUSTRALIA UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP
AUSTRALIA UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS SYDNEY ACHIEVERS INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS
The Sydney Achievers International Scholarships aims to attract high achieving, academically, meritorious, international students to study postgraduate coursework at University of Sydney in Australia. Each Scholarship has a value of AUD$10,000 each, available as a one-off award (AUD$10,000 each per annum, (ie, $15,000 in total for a 1.5 year program, $20,000 in total for a 2years program) for any graduate coursework programme offered at the University of Sydney.
GRIFFITH UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS
Griffith University offers international scholarships for students from China, India, Indonesia, Iran, and Malaysia.
UNIVERSITY OF MELBOURNE
The Melbourne Scholarships program is one of the most generous and comprehensive in Australia. It recognizes outstanding academic achievement of students from Australia and around the world. The University is also committed to providing access to students who might otherwise be excluded by socio-economic, cultural, geographic and other disadvantages and they offer a range of opportunities for those applicants. For undergraduate studies, the main scholarship program is the International Undergraduate Scholarships which provides 100%-fee remission scholarships valued from $10,000 up to approximately $126,000. For graduate studies, the two major international scholarships offered annually: Melbourne International Fee Remission Scholarships (MIFRS) and Melbourne International Research Scholarships (MIRS) which cover tuition fee and living expenses.
MACQUARIE UNIVERSITY INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS
Macquarie University International Scholarships (MUIS) are available across most courses to cover international tuition fees for study in a postgraduate coursework degree at the University. MUIS covers full international tuition fees but does not provide financial support in the forrn of a living allowance, nor does it provide for the cost of visa application, Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), airfares accommodation, conferences or other costs associated with study.
LA TROBE ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
La Trobe’s Academic Excellence Scholarships (AES) are targeted towards high achieving international students from all countries across all of La Trobe’s postgraduate coursework programs. The scholarships are non-renewable tuition fee awards of A$10,000-$20,000 paid across a maximum period of two semesters ( or twelve months ). Recipients of the scholarship would be required to pay for any difference in fees for their first two semesters, fees for their remainder of their course and also Overseas Student Health Cover. These Scholarships are not renewable and do not cover living costs.
