SINGAPORE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIPS
INLAKS FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME 2011Awarded by Inlaks Fellowship Foundation, this programme was set up in memory of the late Dr. Ravi Sankaran who followed up his detailed field studies of wild species with innovative projects to conserve their populations.

SIA YOUTH SCHOLARSHIP FOR UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE COURSESSingapore Government awards scholarships to government endorsed students from member countries of ASEAN. Scholarships are available for undergraduate courses at NUS, NTU and SMU on the basis of academic merit and are available through open competition. Besides Medicine and Dentistry, all disciplines are open for scholarship. The scholarship will be available for all the 3-4 years of the course. In addition, a one-year bridging or foundation programme will be provided if necessary.
NANYANG SCHOLARSHIPNanyang Technical University’s flagship scholarship is awarded to outstanding freshmen pursuing undergraduate programmes. Nanyang Scholarship recognizes students who excel academically, demonstrate strong leadership potential, and possess outstanding Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) track records. Shortlisted candidates will be intimidated for interview.
BENJAMIN A. GILMAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS
Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarships are awarded by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the Federal Government. The Gilman Scholarships are purposely designed to train more diverse leaders in business and international affairs.
About 700 scholarships of up to $5000 are awarded every year to students based on two criteria: • Academic talent • Financial need (includes minority communities and the physically disabled) The students should be pursuing a 2 years course to avail this scholarship.
DAVID L. BOREN SCHOLARSHIPDavid L. Boren Scholarship is awarded by the US Department of Homeland Security and supports international studies in countries critical to national security, including Singapore. These scholarships are based on competition rather than need basis. David L. Boren Scholarship amounts to up to $ 20,000 a year.
Eligibility: Students must be enrolled in programmes in Singapore.
SINGAPORE MILLENNIUM FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPSingapore Millennium Foundation Scholarship is awarded to international students. This is a private Singapore based organisation offering scholarships to post-graduate and post-doctoral students engaged in field of research. The foundation offers scholarship to students based on their academic record as well as their research work. Scholarships amount up to $60,000 per year for post-doctoral researchers.
ROTARY INTERNATIONAL AMBASSADORIAL SCHOLARSHIPRotary International Ambassadorial Scholarships are offered to outstanding students heading off to Singapore to study. Eligible candidate should have excellent academic record in their respective field and international pursuit.
J.N TATA ENDOWMENT FOR HIGHER STUDIESJ.N Tata Endowment for Higher Studies was set up in 1892 by the founder of the Tata Group, Jamshedji Tata to encourage youngsters to study in the best universities abroad in all disciplines and subjects. The endowment selects 120 meritorious stars every year through a rigorous process of selection to award the loan scholarship. The amount awarded as the loan scholarship ranges between Rs. 60,000 and Rs. 4,00,000. All applicants do not necessarily qualify for the maximum amount. The selected scholars may also qualify for a gift scholarship from the Jamsetji Tata Trust and a travel grant from the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust, as may be decided at the sole discretion of the Trustees of the concerned Trusts. A gift scholarship can be for a maximum amount of Rs. 3,80,000 only.
SINGAPORE UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP
NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF SINGAPORE: TOP 22 IN WORLD REPUTATION RANKINGS AND TOP 29 IN WORLD UNIVERSITY RANKINGS
Eligible students will be considered for the NUS administered scholarships through their application for admission to NUS. NO separate scholarship application is required. These scholarships include: ASEAN Undergraduate Scholarship (AUS) and Science and Technology Undergraduate Scholarship. There are also scholarships offered by external organizations and interested students should submit their applications directly to the organization.
