New Brunswick issued more than 600 invitations in its latest provincial immigration draws, targeting skilled workers in key sectors through the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) and the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).
The draws took place between March 3 and March 6, 2026. All selected Expressions of Interest (EOIs) had a cut-off date of March 2, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Atlantic Standard Time (AST).
A total of 622 invitations were distributed across multiple streams and pathways, with a strong emphasis on priority occupations such as health care, education/social/community services, construction trades, and professional roles. Some pathways also opened to all sectors, particularly for francophone candidates.
Here is the breakdown of invitations by stream:
- New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream: 279 invitations (approximately 45% of total) — split across New Brunswick Experience and New Brunswick Graduates pathways. Prioritized occupations: health care; education, social and community services; construction trades; professional occupations.
- New Brunswick Strategic Initiative Stream: 189 invitations — split across Francophone Workers in New Brunswick and New Brunswick Francophone Priorities pathways. Eligible for all occupational sectors.
- New Brunswick Express Entry Stream: 29 invitations (about 4% of total) — under the Employment in New Brunswick pathway. Prioritized occupations: health care; education, social and community services; construction trades; professional occupations.
- Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP): 125 invitations. Prioritized occupations: health care; education, social and community services; construction trades; professional occupations; transportation; manufacturing.
These draws highlight New Brunswick's focus on addressing labour shortages in essential industries while supporting francophone immigration and community growth. Candidates invited through the Express Entry-linked stream can receive an additional 600 points to their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score upon receiving a provincial nomination, significantly improving their chances of obtaining permanent residence through federal Express Entry.
The AIP remains an employer-driven pathway available across Atlantic Canada, requiring a job offer from a designated employer along with provincial endorsement, relevant experience or education, and language proficiency based on the job's TEER category.
This round continues the province's strategy of selecting candidates aligned with local economic needs, particularly in health care, construction, and education, to support sustainable population and workforce development in New Brunswick.
