USA Tourist Visa

The USA Tourist Visa, also known as the B-2 Visa, allows foreign nationals to visit the United States for leisure, tourism, or family visits. This non-immigrant visa is ideal for those planning short stays, whether to explore the country's cultural landmarks, visit family and friends, or engage in recreational activities. The B-2 Visa is typically granted for up to 6 months, with potential extensions based on eligibility. Securing this visa requires applicants to meet specific criteria, including demonstrating strong ties to their home country and intent to return after their visit. With its vast landscapes, iconic attractions, and diverse cities, the USA offers countless experiences for visitors of all backgrounds.

Permitted Activities under the USA Tourist Visa

When an applicant applies for a USA Tourist Visa, they are generally applying for a combined B1/B2 visa. This visa includes two categories with distinct purposes and allowable activities:

B1 Visa (Business Purposes):

  • Consulting with business associates
  • Attending scientific, educational, professional, or business conferences and meetings
  • Negotiating contracts and managing estates

B2 Visa (Tourism and Leisure):

  • Engaging in tourism and recreational travel
  • Receiving medical treatment
  • Visiting family and friends in the U.S.
  • Participating in social events organized by social or service organizations
  • Taking part in amateur activities, such as sports or musical events, provided no payment is received

It’s important to note that the B1/B2 visa does not permit employment or study in the USA.

While confirmed travel and accommodation bookings are usually not required by the U.S. Embassy, it’s essential to prepare for possible questions regarding travel plans.
  6. Processing Time
