What is Portugal Job Seeker Visa

The government of Portugal introduced on October 31, 2022, a new Job Seeker visa for foreign nationals entering its shores to get employed. According to the announcement of the Portuguese officials, they launched this visa to mitigate labor shortages in their country.
With the Portugal job seeker visa, candidates can enter and stay in Portugal for four months and search for a job. It permits them to undertake work activities so long as the visa is valid for three months or until they are granted a residence permit.

Portugal Job Seeker Visa validity

This visa is valid for 120 days, can be renewed for 60 more days, and allows only one individual to enter Portugal.

This visa is granted assuming the attribution of a scheduled date in competent services within its validity period of 120 days. With it, the applicant is allowed to apply for a residence permit after the employment contract is formalized in that period.

After completing it, you must satisfy the general conditions for issuing a temporary residence permit according to the terms of article 77 of the Law.

- National visa application completed and duly signed by the applicant.

- Police Clearence Certificate

- Applicable travel insurance covering essential medical expenses, including emergency medical assistance and potential repatriation.

- Evidence of financial resources equivalent to a minimum of three guaranteed monthly minimum wages

You must pay more than one fee when applying for a Portugal job seeker visa.
