SAT is a standardized test administered by institutes and universities that are required to be taken by students seeking admission to undergraduate schools. SAT means Scholastic Assessment Test which was earlier known as Scholastic Aptitude Test.
It is an entrance exam conducted by the College Board to pursue undergraduate studies abroad, especially in the US.

This has not been specified particularly and depends on the criteria set up by colleges. However, the students who are willing to study abroad in countries like the USA, UK, Netherlands, Canada, and Australia have required SAT scores.
Each section of the SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Math is scored on a 200-800 point scale. 20-80 points per each math and the writing portion is based on a 0-6 scale, whereas the reading section is then converted to a scaled score by a statistical process called equating.

SAT is a timed test that takes 3 hours and 45 minutes. The test follows three skill sets reading, writing, and mathematics with 10 separately timed sections, three for each skill, and the last section is not scored.
It has 52 questions for reading, 44 questions for writing, and 58 questions for Maths. SAT exam is conducted four times a year in India, March, May, October, and December.
