The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) conducted seven draws in September, inviting more than 1,300 candidates to apply for permanent residence.
These invitations were primarily extended to candidates with Alberta job offers who can help address labour shortages in high-demand industries.

Between September 2 and 10, the AAIP issued 1,376 Invitations to Apply (ITAs).

The majority were through the Alberta Express Entry Stream and the Dedicated Health Care Pathway.

With the month only halfway through, Alberta has already issued more invitations than in any other month of 2025.

The largest draw took place on September 4, where 891 candidates received invitations through the Alberta Opportunity Stream.

The Alberta Opportunity Stream continues to be the province’s most popular pathway, with the largest allocation of nominations and nearly 42,000 Expressions of Interest (EOIs) in the selection pool.

Alberta’s total nomination allocation for 2025 is 4,875.

As of September 11, the province has used 3,749 nominations, leaving 1,126 spaces for the rest of the year.
