IRCC invites more than 4,000 candidates in latest Express Entry draw

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted another round of invitations under the Express Entry system.

In this draw, 4,500 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were issued to candidates demonstrating French-language proficiency.

To qualify for this round, candidates were required to:

• Have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 432, and

• Submit their Express Entry profile before 7:07 p.m. (UTC) on June 13, 2025.

Express Entry draws in 2025

Today’s Express Entry draw marks the largest since September 4, when IRCC last issued 4,500 ITAs for French-speaking candidates. In fact, French-language category draws have consistently recorded the highest invitation numbers in 2025, highlighted by the 7,500-ITA draw on March 21 — the biggest of the year so far.

French-speaking candidates continue to lead in invitations, having received a total of 30,000 ITAs in 2025 — more than any other group under the Express Entry system.

Looking ahead, IRCC plans to increase its Francophone immigration targets outside Quebec next year. This adjustment could result in more French-language draws under Express Entry in the coming months.

Today’s draw also represents the second of October, following:

• A Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draw on October 1,

• A Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw on September 29, and

• A Trades category draw on September 18.

So far in 2025, IRCC has issued a total of 70,338 ITAs through the Express Entry system. The year’s draws have mainly focused on PNP candidates, with additional invitations extended to CEC candidates, French-proficient applicants, and those in priority occupation categories.

The breakdown of ITAs by stream type is provided below, with most invitations issued under the French category draws and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) program.
