Today's draw marks the third-largest Express Entry selection held by IRCC in 2025. The first and second largest draws were also targeted at French-language proficiency candidates, occurring on February 19 and March 21, respectively.
Candidates with French-language proficiency have received the most ITAs of any Express Entry group, with a total of 36,000 invitations issued as of this draw. IRCC’s ongoing focus on inviting French-speaking candidates to settle in Canada (outside Quebec) aligns with the mandate set by Canada's Official Languages Act.
This draw is the seventh of October and follows several other recent draws, including a Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draw on October 28, a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw on October 27, and a Healthcare and Social Services draw on October 15.
So far in 2025, IRCC has issued 80,485 ITAs through the Express Entry system.
This year’s draws have largely focused on PNP candidates, with the remaining ITAs dedicated to CEC candidates, those with French-language proficiency, and candidates in Express Entry’s priority occupation categories.
